*Not sure if this was her first official email, but it was her reply to our dads email to her.

You made me smile and laugh and tear up un poquito all at the same time! I love you dad so very much! Don't be sad because really I am SO HAPPY. I'm sure I will begin to miss you and the family more and more each day but right now and even the day I left I was happy and content because this is where I want to be and need to be. Even though I love the family I just know that this is the Lords time for me and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Gracias por tu amor. It really really helps to know you love me that much! I actually enjoyed when people would tell me they would miss me because my love language is words of affirmation and if people love me enough to miss me, that is special to me. 

When I got past the point of not seeing the family anymore I was calm. It was the first moment of the mission basically and I was excited and happy. You guys mean everything to me but like I said I was fine. I went through security and I found two sisters that were so cute and sweet!!! I got to know them and then on the plane I sat by an inactive member of the church that was on the way to a family reunion! We shared a lot with each other and she was very kind. I talked to some Elders on the plane and got to know them as well. Cool to know we are all going through the same things (taking it differently) but we are all here together now learning and growing in different ways. I took a 15 min nap on the plane. It was helpful.

Well I am going to write the family now! Pero me encanto padre. Don't worry about me and definitely BE HAPPY because that's is what I would want for you!!! I love youuu.

Tell mom I am proud of her for crying all her tears out! And let her know that I LOVE HER ME ENCANTO MUCHHHHO MADRE!!!!!
